How it plays
The questions go up on the TV. Everyone answers on their own phone. No app, no sign-up.
-
Scan the code
The TV shows a QR code and a four-letter room code. Phones are in within seconds.
-
Pick a face
A shape and a colour, and you can draw your own face on it. It follows you onto every board.
-
Answer fast
Right answers score more the sooner they land. Three in a row starts a streak bonus.
-
Bet it all
The last question is a wager: put any part of your points on the line. Hosts can add a bet question and mini-games too.
Every point
- Trivia leads. A right answer is worth up to 1,000: full points for the first 3 seconds, then it slides down to 333 at the buzzer. Wrong answers cost nothing.
- Streaks. Three right in a row starts a bonus: +50, then +100, then +150 a question. One miss resets it.
- Classic rounds (the default) use the first two lines and the finale. The host can add mini-games (Party) and a bet question (Full).
- Mini-games pay the top three. 600 / 400 / 200. Ties share the places they cover. If nobody finishes, nobody scores. Everyone else plays for pride.
- Golden mushroom. Bottom half of the board when a mini-game starts? Your prize is doubled, enough to reach 3rd place and never past it. You must have answered at least half the questions so far, so joining late or tanking on purpose earns nothing extra.
- Crown. Leading when a mini-game starts and finish top three: +150 on top.
- Bet question. Estimate a number, then put a chip of 500 on the group you think is closest. Closest without going over wins; the guess's authors get 1,000.
- Finale. Before the last question, wager any part of your points. Right: you win what you bet. Wrong: you lose it.
- Every score is replayed from the room's event log after the night, so the maths can be checked by anyone with the log.
